The 180th anniversary of the Novorossiysk Commercial Seaport was celebrated in Novorossiysk. Three months of planning were underway. The following events were planned for guests and participants of the gala:
- Opening of an exhibition by WWII war photojournalist Yevgeny Ananyevich Khaldey at the Novorossiysk Sea Terminal;
- Wreath and flower-laying ceremony by the official delegation at the Heroes' Square Memorial Complex;
- An awards ceremony for port workers at the Novorossiysk City Theater and a performance/concert about the port's 180-year history.
